Privacy Policy

Who we are

Dealround (dealround.online) is an independent deal and event aggregator for Copenhagen, operated by Aurimas Baciauskas, based in Denmark. For anything privacy related, contact baciauskas.aurimas@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • No analytics or tracking. We removed Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights in September 2026. Nothing on this site measures you, profiles you, or follows you between visits, and no third-party tracker loads at any point.
  • Your IP address, briefly. When you submit feedback or subscribe to the newsletter, we store a counter against your IP address for up to one hour so that one person cannot flood those forms. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site usable (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). It is never used to identify you and it is discarded automatically. Our host also keeps standard server request logs, as any web server does.
  • Feedback you submit. If you use the feedback form, we receive your rating, your message, and the name you choose to give (it is optional and can be anything). Feedback is delivered to us via Telegram and email (Resend) and kept only as long as needed to act on it.
  • Newsletter email, if you subscribe. If you sign up for the weekly newsletter, we store the email address you give us so we can send it. To unsubscribe, email us at the address below and we delete your address within 30 days. Once the newsletter starts sending, every email will also carry an unsubscribe link.
  • Nothing else. There are no accounts, no cookies for tracking, and no advertising trackers.

What stays on your device

Theme preference, language preference, and the map location cache are stored in your browser's localStorage only. They are never transmitted to us. If you allow location access for the “Near Me” feature, your coordinates are used on your device to compute distances and are never sent to our servers or any third party.

Legal basis

We process the data above under legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) for operating and improving the site, and under consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for feedback you actively choose to send and for the newsletter you choose to subscribe to.

  • Vercel (hosting)
  • Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany (deal data server)
  • Telegram and Resend (feedback delivery, only if you submit feedback)
  • Beehiiv (newsletter delivery, only if you subscribe)
  • Upstash (Redis storage for the newsletter list and abuse rate limiting)
  • OpenStreetMap / Nominatim and CARTO (map tiles and geocoding of deal venues, not of you)
  • MyMemory (translation of deal and event titles, no personal data involved)

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold (in practice: feedback submissions and your newsletter email). To unsubscribe from the newsletter, email us and we remove your address within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).
